MONET - Dress 19th (1895)

 The Monet ensemble is an example of a Belle Epoque day outfit.

The skirt as well as the over-skirt are in fine woolen cloth. The over-skirt, underlined with a braid, is split, to let appear the skirt. They are closed with staples on the belts.

The collar shirt is made of cotton poplin with a yoke, collar and sleeve cuffs. It closes at the back yoke with 5 small buttons.

The cotton jacket, very curved, has a double collar rising. The narrow sleeves are angled. A slit at the back allows the jacket to land on the skirt whatever your underwear. The front ends in a point at the bottom. It is fully lined and closes with staples in the middle of the front.
