The dress Lamballe is a "shirt to the queen". Marie Antoinette wear it around 1785. Simpler, it is more practical for rural activities.

It is composed of a "bottom of dress", (a simple cotton dress that serves as a shirt) in lined cotton and sleeves in silk taffeta. The sleeves end in the bottom by a lace edge of calais. The dress is made of striped silk organza, lined entirely with cotton. The outfit is completed by a wide belt in silk taffeta.
